Two Years or 20,000 Miles

Nine Years or 90,000 Miles
- Inspect the Dodge Journey's CV Joints.
- Replace its engine air filter
- Replace the spark plugs for the 2.4L engine.
Ten Years or 100,000 Miles
- Inspect the Front Suspension and Tie Rod. Replace them if needed.
- Check the parking brake function and brake linings.
- Replace the air conditioning filter.
- Replace the 3.6L engine's sparkplugs.
- Flush and replace the engine coolant at ten years or 150,000 miles.
- Inspect and replace PCV valve if necessary.
Twelve Years or 120,000 Miles
- Inspect CV Joints.
- Inspect its front suspension and tie rod ends. Replace them if necessary.
- Inspect the parking brake function and brake linings.
- Replace the engine air filter.
- Replace the air conditioning filter.
- Replace the Spark plugs for the 2.4L engine.
- Change the automatic transmission fluid and filter.
- Replace the rear drive assembly fluid.
- Replace Power transfer unit fluid.
Once A Month or Before A Long Road Trip
Check your engine's oil levels.
- Check windshield washer fluid levels.
- Check tires for pressure, and look for unusual wear or tear. Rotate tires if you notice any irregular wear, even if it occurs before the oil indicator system is activated.
- Check the coolant reservoir's levels, power steering fluid levels, transmission fluid levels, and brake master cylinder levels. Fill as needed.
- Make sure the Journey's interior and exterior lights are working properly.
When to Get Your Oil Changed
Your Dodge Journey's Oil Change Indicator System will let you know when you need to change your oil.
- Change your oil and oil filter.
- Rotate the Journey's tires.
- Inspect your vehicle battery. Clean and tighten its terminals as needed.
- Check the transmission fluid with a dipstick (if equipped).
- Check brake pads, rotors, shoes, drums, hoses, and the parking brake.
- Check the engine cooling system protection and hoses.
- Inspect the Journey's exhaust system.
- Inspect the engine air cleaner if you frequently go off-roading or drive in dusty conditions.
